Our rooms are large, clean and comfortable. Rooms range in size from 6 beds to 10 beds and are single-sex. Most rooms have a shower and restroom in the room, and the hostel also has large single sex showers and restrooms. Individual lockers are provided in each room. Please bring your own lock for the lockers. All guests receive bed linens, towel and pillow. Private rooms with a shared bathroom are also available

Meeting fellow travelers is half the fun of hostelling! HI Chicago boasts multiple comfortable spaces to connect with each other to trade information, tell stories, become friends, and perhaps even traveling companions!
Our information desk located on the 2nd floor is staffed by volunteers who love Chicago. Stop by to ask questions, get directions, or recommendations from a local - some of our volunteers have been with us for over 15 years!
A large Kitchen is available 24/7 for preparing meals adjecent to a dining room with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the "L", Chicago's historic elevated trains. Join us for a free continental breakfast from 7-10am including an assortment of bagels, muffins, cereals, fruit, juice and coffee!
